Coralku, coralmu jua - ecosystem restoration is a societal responsibility.
Monitoring our Impact
Our coral restoration efforts & practices are driven by scientific evaluation and data. We are documenting success & failures, as well as improvements in coral reef health at restoration sites - not a single coral fragment goes unrecorded!
Every year after the monsoon season, and during seasonal peak temperatures, we are conducting scientific reef surveys to document changes in coral reef health. Across the year, we monitor every coral that we propagate, and conduct regular check-ups and evaluations to document the latest developments.
For us to understand our impact, we need long-term data that show how successful restoration practices are, and to single out those interventions that are less fruitful. Our goal is to double coral cover at three sites in Pulau Lang Tengah until 2025, and thus we need to constantly be aware of the impact that we are having.
